Today is December 31 and This is probably my last post in 2011, happy new year everyone and thank you so much for being part of this year and thank you for your support throughout the year, really appreciate it 
If you don’t have any idea about SEO “search engine optimization” , simply the main goal of SEO is to increase the amount of traf?c going to any given site by search engines. Now search engines serve as the starting point of a user’s journey around the web. What’s great about Facebook’s public pro?les is that Facebook already has a big amount of search engine juice. Google alone has indexed over 2 billion page for Facebook.
So in today’s post I’ll show you how I got my facebook custom tab to show up in the first page of google which started getting me traffic through search engines
Firstly, down below is an image to my public profile insights as you can see google and yahoo has added a good thumb to my referrers:
Get Your Custom Url – Step 1
URLs are a large part for search engine optimization. Search engines use as much information as possible to determine the relevance of a particular page for a given search. For example my page has the following URL: http://www.facebook.com/faissalalhaithami which makes it easier to access. The short URL is definitely effective at getting Google “juice”. Go here to get your custom URL http://www.facebook.com/username. ( *NOTE: you don’t need 25 fans to get your custom url as it was before.)
Create A Custom Tab And Select A Good Title For It – Step 2
On Facebook public profiles there are few things you can use to boost your search engine rankings and page titles is one of those things. Many SEO experts will tell you that spending a lot of time on the title of a website isn’t important as much as the pages title inside that website. So spend enough time to con?gure the title of you Custom Tab or your Landing page. What is more, if you can implement some of the on-page optimization tricks, it will help you too.

Generate Links To Your Custom Tab – Step 3
Incoming links is the most important factor If you are looking to drive traf?c through Search engines, one quick way is by linking to your website pages. Additionally, If you can get links from other sites that will help increase your rankings too. One of the awesome ways to increase the number of incoming links is by participating in forums around the web and setting a signature which links back to your page. And don’t forget to link to your other social pro?les. This will most de?nitely help you gain some attention from Mr. Google.
my favorite way is by linking my facebook custom tab to my guest posts. For instance, my latest post it was on basic blog tips blog and I linked to my custom tab through telling people about my ebook in the last part of the post. See the image below:

Furthermore, Try your best to link to pages that relevant to your page. If your page about internet marketing and you kept linking to pages about Fat Food, do you think that would really help out the readers with ?nding what they’re looking for? I guess not.
Google takes into account the relevance of pages you are linking to when calculating the relevance of any given page. These were just few tips and overall you should be take to the account your Google rank when con?guring your Facebook Page. I’m not an SEO expert to talk for so long about SEO but I guess this will be enough for you to have your page well indexed.

I have all these, except for the welcome tab. It’s too much effort for me. I am too lazy to sort that one out at this time. Will not having a welcome tab have a negative effect on my facebook page?

Super helpful tips here.
Linking up to niche specific sites makes sense. Google likes when birds of a feather flock together. I will keep your insights in mind while developing my Fan Page.
It also helps to have a super engaging Fan Page. Once fans Like your page you want them to stick around. Post relevant and value-packed content, ask questions and engage frequently to create a responsive fan base.

For Step 3- getting links, I feel this is where most people fail. I think this is one of the most important parts of creating a website. From most of my reading, I thought forum signatures didn’t do much anymore?

I still haven’t gotten my Facebook page set up yet Faissal.
I’ve been dragging my feet for a number of reasons but I will get that done this year. Not at the end either but your site is a wealth of information that I can learn from so I appreciate you sharing how to get free traffic to our page.
I love that they show up in the search engines now along with tweets. Some people don’t even have a website or blog, only their Facebook pages so that’s what I love with how Google has switched things around now.

This is a great blog on using SEO practices to generate traffic to Facebook fan page. The tips are really good. It is just that you have to create backlinks. If you have a guest post or blog site, you can link it to your Facebook account. Even while blog commenting in CommentLuv enabled blogs, you can create a link to your Facebook fan page.

1) create contest campaign which do need them to enter your site to get something in order to win your prizes.
2)integrate your website with all facebook plug in
3)use facebook ads ppc to generate traffic to your site
4) create a formal contact us application to allow them to enter your site and further contact with you .
5) share more image and video which do pop out your site url or in the footer
- create some poll to understand what your fans would like to see from your site .
