Before I start with the facebook iframe tab apps please consider reading Complete guide to: facebook landing tab an article that i have written recently.

I brought to you today the best free 6 Facebook iframe tab apps with fan gate feature, based in my experience and other people experience too. What is more, These facebook iframe tab apps is very simple with the abilities to include some Facebook feature such as Reveal Tab (also known as a Fan Gate) together with iFrames. Fan Gate/Reveal Tab is where non-fans who visit your page see one form of content and when they click the Like button to join your Page, the content changes to something just for fans. This is a great feature for special offers, discount codes or to increase you fan base.

You only do need custom images and/or HTML to get your tab fully done.

is free for up to 25,000 fans and you can have up to five tabs. They have an easy place to add your Google analytics code. They’ll host your images up to 25 MB. To install just click on the green “Get Started” button on their Start Here tab. You can use the Iframes tags mentioned before and you can configure your facebook landing tab / custom tab with Hosted iFrame on their site and add it to your Facebook Page afterwards.

has several Facebook applications, most notably their contest and sweepstakes apps. Their iFrame app is currently free and works very well. But, they may start charging for the app at some point in the future. Wildfire is easy to install right from their website as linked.

also has a suite of Facebook applications and their iFrame app is called Static HTML. To install it, just go to the Involver website and click “Install” next to the Static HTML app. Involver also allows fan gate feature and one of the nice things about Involver’s app is that you can easily add multiple custom tabs. Involver allows you to use two applications for free. If you want to use more, you have to switch to their paid plan. So if you’re currently using two of their other apps on your page, you’ll have to uninstall one of them to add the Static HTML app, unless you want to pay Involver.

minilogoforposts best 6 free facebook iFrame tab apps with fan gate featureTabPress

is a free iFrame application developed by HyperArts that can easily add fan gate feature. To install TabPress, go to the Facebook app page as linked and click “Add to My Page” on the right column. TabPress does not host images, so you’ll have to upload them to a site and reference them using HTML code such as <img src=”http://www.yourwebsite.com/yourimage.jpg”> or wherever you have the photos hosted. Or if you have HTML code.

minilogoforposts best 6 free facebook iFrame tab apps with fan gate featureStatic HTML: iframe tabs

is another free application and it doesn’t host your images similar to TabPress as mentioned in #3. I found this app to be more accepting of some of the HTML and CSS tags than some of the other apps. To install it, go to the Facebook app page as linked and click “Add to My Page” on the right column. This app also allows FBML tags.

is a cool free iFrame application that’s somewhat easier to use if you don’t know how to do HTML coding. You can add banners, slideshows, videos and pictures in a visual environment. They have some nice video tutorials to help you out. To add iwipa to your page, go to their Facebook app page and click on “Click Here to Install” on the left-side bar.

Nice coverage of these tools Faissel.

I just built a fan page using PageModo which is very cool, easy, and good looking but teh free version only offers one page, and no Like Gate.

May have to do some further inspection on these recommendations…

I’m using an app that’s not listed in this post. I love it fan-gate feature and color templates. Suggest adding iFrame Tab Plus app from HostFB: https://www.facebook.com/freeappbuilder?sk=app_289930237698026

Hi faissal,
It will be nice to have you test out the free facebook apps we are launching. We offer :
(1) ‘fan gate app’ that allows upload of images/custom html, as well as most importantly a custom button for fan only offers that users have loved!
(2) ‘Contact us email app’ (it allows you to set up customised subjects and subject-wise email reciepients and cc, so your fans emails reach your backend teams inbox. . eg. support, accounts or sales teams(or any recipient you need) inbox without these people coming onto facebook as admin!
(3) a generic’ welcome app’ (without fangate)
(4) More apps coming out soon . eg. restaurant apps.

Do Let us know what you think !

Now that FB is so rapidly changing its format, I wonder if there would be a new way for us to redirect new visitors to our Welcome tab, Faissal.

The way it’s set up right now is not very helpful… (with the new timeline, I mean)

Yes! As you know there is no way to have a landing tab anymore with the new timeline profile.

But my way to redirect people to my custom tab that when I mention my facebook page I don’t give people the direct link of my page :D Instead, I give them a short link that redirect people to my custom tab.

To get the url of your custom tab easily go to your tab and copy the link that the browser gives you, it should be something like :
http://www.facebook.com/***/app_***

hope this can help :D

I just tried using this app (skiggle), and it messed up my FB. I got a scary error message—I can’t remember what it said—but it definitely did not install. I tried to reinstall it, and my page wasn’t even listed anymore. I don’t recommend this app.

Ugh, I just read through the rest of the comments and discovered that these apps can’t be used with the new timeline. And I don’t have enough understanding to figure out what to do. I had read on another site that somehow I can get a template for my fan page that allows me to post more photos and what not on the background (I don’t know if that is the correct name for the large photo at the top and it has 8 little boxes for photos, likes, etc.) Do you know what I’m talking about? I’d like some help please. Thanks.

Hi again,

Actually apps can be used in the new profile, but it seems that the apps you are using isn’t having enough support.

Do you mean the photo cover?

Reply

Anna
Twitter:
May 16, 2012 at 1:49 pm

Yes, thank you for your response. It is the cover I am referring to. Just under the photo are several frames, but they are predetermined by FB for photos, likes, etc. Somewhere I read about a template that would allow the user to determine the use for those frames.

Faissal, you’re magnificent at reading my mind, did you know that? :P I have been attempting to do a little research on iframing – especially for Facebook – but have been met with website after website of seedy and unsavory advice. It seems that most people – with you being a shining exception – are out there on the world wide web, teaching people the ‘quick and easy’ (and often unethical,) ways to get things done. I like knowing that if and when I apply the advice I’ve gathered from this site, I can do so in the knowledge that I’m keeping all of my SEO above board and ethical.

Cheers,

Matt

Hey the apps are cool. I just tried the skiggle app. It didn’t work for me. I was getting repeated error messages. Are any of you guys having such issues or is this just a temporary issue for me? Anyone’s honest views are welcome. Thanks
